ONE WORLD FAMILY DAY

An internationally-themed free family ‘mini-festival’.

We offered live music and dance, plus some unusual interactive demonstrations on our stage throughout the day. Cultures around the globe was also represented through food stalls, arts and craft stands and sports activities.

Performers included:

Afro Tallawah – seven-piece Afro-Reggae band

Bournemouth Male Voice Choir – performing songs from around the world

Colores Mexicanos – beautiful traditional dance from Mexico

Dragon of the South – the region’s best traditional Chinese Lion Dance

Mambo Santamaria – exciting Latino band made up of the top jazz musicians from the region

Unity in Vision – fascinating demonstration of sari-wearing and its cultural significance

Zlaten Klas – performing their traditional Bulgarian folk dances in full costume
